You have the ability to manage multiple trip categories (Business-1, Business-2, ..., Business 2000). The application allows you to enable automatic trip tracking or manually input your trips.
When in auto-track mode, the app will detect and register trips in the background. Trips that have been detected are displayed upon launching the app for classification. Notably, the app does not monitor current location during an ongoing trip, thus being considerate of your device's battery life. Night driving duration is automatically computed based on the initial location. Additionally, users can adjust estimated distances and save each trip accordingly.
Keep in mind that there is a slight delay before the app displays your most recent trip post-arrival at your destination. This brief gap is intentional to prevent false data entries (e.g., stops at traffic lights). For occasional drivers, it is recommended to activate auto-detect before commencing a trip for optimal results and remember to disable it after the trip has been documented.
Due to IOS background location permission protocols, a single permission request is triggered during the first trip only. Subsequent trips will not prompt this authorization process.
Manual addition of trips is also an option. Users can select start and end points on a map and input corresponding time details. The app leverages the starting point for calculating night driving statistics. Furthermore, users can attach notes to individual trips.
TrackMiles offers complimentary usage for up to 60 trips as an introductory offer. Beyond this trial period, users are required to opt for a monthly or yearly subscription.
Subscribers may receive promotional offers upon initiating their subscription. Payment will be charged to the iTunes Account once purchase is confirmed. Subscriptions automatically renew unless disabled at least 24 hours before the current period concludes. Renewal charges will be applied within 24 hours before the ongoing period finishes. Users retain control over subscriptions with the option to manage them, including disabling auto-renewal, in their Account Settings post-purchase. Any untapped benefits from promotions will be forfeited upon transitioning to a subscription.
Your trip data is securely stored on your device. Uninstalling the app will result in data removal which cannot be retrieved subsequently.
